Terry Schanke began his teaching career in 1976 at New Miami Junior High School. During his second year there, he also began his football coaching career. He made the move to Edgewood High School in 1979 where he taught as well as coached football and wrestling.
During his 39-year coaching tenure, he was the assistant coach to six different head coaches and coached for teams earning eleven league titles and ten playoff berths. He was selected as a member of the coaching staff for the MVFCA All Star game in 1997. In 2011, Terry was inducted into the MVFCA Assistant Coach Hall of Fame. A 1972 graduate of Middletown High School, Terry attended Miami University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in 1976, followed by a master’s degree in 1981. Terry and his wife Becky currently live in Panama City Beach, Florida and are the proud parents of one daughter, Nicole, a 2008 Edgewood graduate. |
