Randy Combs An Edgewood High graduate of 1986, Randy Combs participated in Baseball and Golf, but it was in Basketball where his talents excelled. During his junior year, he was named First Team MML, was the second leading scorer in the MML with an average of 20.4 points per game, and was Honorable Mention All-State and Second Team Golden Triangle.
For his senior year, he earned MML Player of the Year, was again named First Team MML, was the MML leading scorer with 20.6 points per game, was named to the First Team Golden Triangle, Second Team All- Southwest District, Honorable Mention All-State and was the Dayton Journal Herald All-Star. He was selected to play in the District 15 All-Star game as well as The Indiana/Ohio All-Star Game. Randy ended his career with 1015 career points (with no three-point line), 331 career rebounds, 111 career assists and shot 51% on field goals and 80% on free throws, still the school record. He scored in double figures every single game he started and led his team to a victory over Fairfield in the State tournament. Following graduation, Randy attended Rio Grande University. Currently, Randy is self-employed in the real estate market and lives in Trenton, where he and his wife, Robyn are parents to four children. |
