A graduate of the Class of 1998, Jon Osborne was a two-way starter for three years. Jon was on the first Edgewood play-off-bound Football team. He also started for two years in Basketball but his senior year in Basketball was lost to a knee injury suffered in football.
Jon received numerous honors throughout his career including participation in the North/South All Star game in Massillon. He received consideration for the Big 33 game, Ohio vs. Pennsylvania All Stars, as an alternate. He earned All-State, District, County, and League in Football and was All-League his junior year in Basketball. He was named Lineman of the Year in Football his senior year. Following graduation, Jon received a Division I Football scholarship to Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He was the first player to receive a Division I Football scholarship since the late 1970's and is one of only five players to do so in the last 16 years. Jon, his wife Jackie, and their two sons make their home in Amelia, Ohio. Jon is employed by Total Quality Logistics as an Account Executive. |
