Becky Fordyce was an active Edgewood Athletic Booster member for nearly two decades but it was her vision of creating the Edgewood Craft Show that has allowed the boosters to build it into their most profitable annual fundraiser and one of the largest craft events in the region.
Even though she was never an officer of the organization, it was by choice. She preferred to be an active participant, to organize and guide workers to ensure that the most profit was being realized for Edgewood student athletes. Becky operated and owned a dog grooming business and purchased ads in yearbooks and sports programs, always doing her part to help. Becky passed in February 2010 from an extended illness with cancer. Still, she worked the last two craft shows knowing she was ill and going through treatments, never letting it slow her down and never complaining. Always an Edgewood supporter, her legacy will live on through what she began with the Edgewood Craft Show. Becky and her late husband David have one son. |
